HELP!

My white silkie bantam has gone broody! She has been at it for 3 days..

This is the first time she has ever dome this, she is about 9 months old, and has never gone broody until now,

I continue to move her out into the big coop any time I see her in the egg box.

I also removed the golf balls from the nesting boxes, so she wouldn't think they are eggs.

She is literally sitting on nothing! And yet every morning, every afternoon, and even at night, she will stay in the egg boxes! (she always sleeps in the first egg box, but right now, she stays in the last one every second of the day!)

Unfortunately, I cannot get her eggs fertilized to sit on, as my mom won't let me have baby chickens. All I know to do is move her off the empty nest until she stops.

Is there anything else I can do?

Please help! I'm afraid shes going to dehydrate herself, or starve.

@Banaynaychicken you will need to put her in a wire cage all by herself. It can be in the run with the rest of the flock. No water no food, 3 days. When their broody they can go a week without food or water, they are in a trance. Plus right now its not that hot. If it was the summer I wouldn't do it.

I have a notoriously broody White Rock that literally goes broody every time after laying for only 5 weeks and will literally stay that way for months. The solution finally presented to me was to isolate her (I used a large metal-bottom dog kennel) and give her one baby aspirin in her water, but no food. As it was explained to me by a vet, broodiness essentially functions like running a fever. The baby aspirin, which can be given up to twice per day, lowers the fever and breaks the broodiness. It only took one day and one aspirin to break my WR's last broody episode, and she began laying eggs again just 3 days later.
