Arizona Chickens

he LOVES to be photographed, I tell you he thinks he's a model.

His colors are indeed coming along nicely. Bowie and Merc are a lot lighter in color from the tail up, it gets darker as you move towards their head, but neither is as russet/gold and this guy.

Im for real excited about showing him, he is going to do AMAZING <3

Are you going to show the other 2? I'm hoping the lacing is good. Plus, there's still the molt so could get even better! He is & always was a total ham. Maybe he can get a chicken modeling contract. Lol

Hello from the West valley!!! I would love to know if I have any neighbors on BYC!

I'm a chickie mama to be,,, expecting a mixed flock of new chicks next week. Got the brooder almost ready!!
I've already gotten so much great info from this site,, so helpful...

I'm realizing that raising chickens in the desert is quite different than back in the Midwest!!

I'm going to build a "hoop-coop". Will try n post pics as I go.

I have 2 chicks out of 6 eggs starting to hatch out now. I can see their egg tooth though little holes in the shells, and every now and then hearing the peep-peeps.

NA, we all like to take photo shoot's with our spoiled rotten brat's..

Caught our Julie girl trying to get a closer look at a glider flicker woodpecker i caught.. it great to have those memories caught on camera.. What's funny is when our boy's were young i would bring bird's in all the time.. i told them it flew right by me and i reach out & grabbed it.. kinda like super hero powers..tehe.. but in reality, the cat's would catch them while i was out in the garden, i would chase them down & rescue it.. do you guy's remember when our parents would tell us, "i have eye's in the back of my head, i can see what your doing!" They couldn't believe the thin's we knew.. kinda funny huh..
