AMEN to all of that Parront, just wondering if any of the auto sexing breeds are heat tolerant..? but truly thank goodness we live out of the heat our selves HA right, being in Bisbee & Prescott, life is cool & dry just nicer for man & beast alike and you cant fault that, im glad we landed here when our motor coach broke down for 9 weeks in Bisbee waiting for parts since the new breaks we just had installed weeks before in fla failed on the big very steep hill HA , so having to stay in Bisbee for 9 weeks we decided to stay, its a kool little town that's for sure, but now all the millionaires from all over are moving in and buying up everything.! and i still would like to see whats happening in Prescott...! is there such a thing as small ranches over your way..?

Lots, not right in town. I am looking in Dewey and Chino Valley, some 2 acres.

but isnt it hot over in that area...? wow me to want just a few acres in a cool area thou, >>> different subject check this out its fantastic..i did n have any thing deep enough to give my hens a good bath except for my kitchen sink so some thing was telling me to go to my dollar general , they had this fantastic wash tub for only $5.00 , and i got the last one, dang i want another on HA, but its great and very sturdy for all kinds of drippy stuff you need to contain....lol...like a wet chicken...lol. sorry but the date on my camera is wrong all the time, but this was on 8/26/17 (((( pass it along )))) i bet many folks on BYC would want one, and the price is right....lol.. $5.00

anyone have any run ins with a scorpion lately? my best layer who is broody had a huge one dead next to her in the nesting box, she killed it, i shot a video of it and will be posting it soon scary!

Omg can't wait to see the video. I hate them things. We killed 95 of them in one weekend when we first moved into this house. Hubby and son have been stung. Haven't seen many this year.

Chino Valley is zone 8 in my Western Garden book. Want a garden, and too many pine trees is bad for that.

Can you move away from that area because in sierra vista AZ its lower prices then prescott im sure ,with jobs , there is a big army base , so they have lots of stores & a new mall, its nice there , you may like it and i was looking for land there hi up away from the city area , its hi desert in this area no pine trees, but just a bit hotter then Bisbee by 10 degrees, here is a photo of the land we had been looking at , but the next day it sold .

Looks pretty, but I do not see the required min of 2 bed + 2 bath house! Gotta please the spouse! We looked in the Bisby area, but were already liking the small city of Prescott. We want to be close to Prescott, but in town is too expensive. Nice place with 1/2 acre 1 mile from the courthouse, but it was 349,000!

no idea ...HA i didnt even know any one with chickens until this year ,but im sure glad i got good connections with the stores to sell my really & truly Bisbee eggs..! since i really do live in Bisbee HA our town has a rule asking all to support all Bisbee businesses...!!! so we all support bisbee and that helps keep it alive for us all..! good idea i must say...!
