Arizona Chickens

Ok Experts, my chickens are now about 9 weeks old. Time to play "DoI have any roosters?". I'll enclose the photos, you guess the sex! I'll let you know my opinons (that I currently hold) in a few days.

I dunno, to me 3,4, and 5 all look to be likely cockerels to me. And 6 looks possible too, but it's hard to tell from that angle... That blotchy/random dark red feathering on the wings is usually a giveaway. Hens usually have a more neat pattern on their wing shoulders.

First of all, I read "Gammorrah" as "Gamera"...as in the flying turtle...which made me chuckle out loud. Now I want a chicken named after a flying turtle...Anyone else here get that reference? Lol if not, ignore me
Here is my go at it...
#1: pullet
#2: pullet
#3: roo
#4: not sure...pullet?
#5: roo
#6: pullet
#7: pullet
#9: roo
Barred Rocks: pullet, pullet, roo, pullet

They all look like hens to me but I have no idea for this breed what are they easter eggers?

Speaking of which I went to shoppers for the first time today, tsc or cal ranch on steroids lol
Love it!

I think I am expanding my flock didn't expect to yet but I'm thinking of adding ten easter eggers, the brown and black ones that look like they have eye liner on when they are chick's

I also didn't think I would stray from buff orps cause I love them so much, the lap dog of the chicken world, but I read that eggers are friendly too and possibly better with heat so maybe the bubus are expanding and getting some new sisters soon....ROO WILL BE HAPPY....eventually lol

All of those old Godzilla movies.

Yup, around here we understand too well the need to protect livestock and that the law is on your side in these situations. If left to live these predators can simply teach their young to go after lifestock too, and then it's all down hill after that... :(
Oh my, I haven't received any notifications this week. So sorry to hear about the predator issue but would also apply this to irresponsible neighbors who let their dogs roam the area, wreaking havoc on your livestock. They are predators, too, and kill for sport.

On another note, I went to OK Feed (Tucson) and they had a gazillion chicks again on trays in a tall rack. They told me they get chicks ALL YEAR around, so that may be a source for people looking for chicks at odd times of the year when the hatcheries or private breeders have none available.

0k i went for it, got TWENTY amercaunas, easter eggers pullets. I noticed on the way home one was really lethargic, although looking slightly better now, she is still lethargic. I'm going to have to research things, bc my other experiences none were lethargic and none and dirty bums, and these do have do pasty butts some of them, but i'll deal

I am thinking that the younger chicks that get that constant pasty butt end up being boys. I think if I get any like that this time, I will put a yellow chick legband on their leg, so that I can see if those really do end up being the boys or not.

Edit: on a second note. I checked on the CCLB eggs a while ago, and one of them has poked a little breathing hole in it's egg. They are due to hatch tomorrow.
