I also just put the calcium

@BlueBaby I found where I saved the link with the bucket but said was no longer available so did a bit of a search and found two UTubes (I like the older one but also an updated 2017) - using an ice chest! Way better than a bucket AND I can probably make it myself! EXCEPT I'd really like to make the area solar and I don't have enough knowledge for that yet. I'm excited!!

Thank you! If I was to make one though, I would leave that tincile off the front of the blower. Knowing my chickens like I do, they would probably try to eat it.

@BlueBaby - true I'd leave that off as well. The only thing my DH said we should do is get a more powerful fan that would blow air further. He said something about CFMs, and 12 volts and......... blah, blah, blah. I'll let him fix that!! Off to plan on paper. Thinking I want two if I can scrounge enough. I'm pretty good at scrounging, so probably just the solar thingee.

Maybe you could get a bigger cooler that would hold more blocks of ice so the coolness last's longer?

One of my breeding plans for this Fall is to cross all my black NN girls with my Jersey Black Giant roo. To make them bigger! You want in on that? I'll probably end up with some fully feathered, and some single copy Nn's that I won't want to keep....

When I get to breeding these White NN-Breese mixes that I got from you, since they all have the bigger bowties on the neck, will their chicks come out with even less neck feathers? That is what I am hoping for, anyways.

You'll probably get about 50/50 big bowties and small bowties. At least that's what I'd expect. But you will definitely get some with both copies of the NN gene.... or ALL... :)

Ok, thank you! I'll keep the ones that will have the least neck feathering, and sell the rest. :D

So for awhile now I've had the Jersey Giant boy and the Light Brahma boy in a pen of their own because I wasn't ready to breed them and they grew up together so they get along enough to be locked up together. Today a chick from another pen squeezed through the fencing into their pen, which happens at times. The Brahma started picking on it and the JG boy lunged at him and made his stop. Protecting the chick. This isn't the first time he's done it, either. I really like that he's such a sweetie and protective of any chicks that sneak into their pen.
So tonight I just went ahead and moved the Brahma out and into a temp cage, and put 3 black naked neck girls into the pen with the JG. He's never had his own girls before so it'll be interesting to see tomorrow how it goes. He's so big, and their so small! I really hope he's as gentle as he seems... :p
