Arizona Chickens

@Michelle Guynn How is Hazel doing now? Is the color of her feathering starting to change yet? I am seeing a subtle change in the coloring of her 4 sisters that are still over here.

@FeatherPugs How are Lady and the NN that you got from me doing? Does that one still try to get on your hubbies lap in the wheelchair for a ride?

@igorsMistress How is the little White NN chick doing?

@BlueBaby Lady is the NN girl and she still loves my DH and his chair especially if he has treats! The other three, blue and black Australorpe are happy and laying eggs. Gracie the blue girl is bossy and Pearl, the black girl is quiet and laid back. The other one is Annie - she was the NN that feathered on her neck. She is meek, mild and happy AND she does not like the roosters we currently have in the flock! She may be meek BUT she will kick their butts! Thanks for asking.

Hazel is coloring out beautiful. Had her and my black roo outside last night and the roo was getting frisky with her lol. She was like listen here buddy I’m not that into you quite yet. He kept trying to woo her. I’ll get some pictures tonight if the weather is good.

Speaking of broodies... Rambita my ee 6 months old is broody AGAIN last time it was over a week long before she broke now its been 2 days so far...

She is my broodiest of broodies bc she's the only one that wants to spend the night on a nest :idunno

She is a good broody though she refuses snacks she will take breaks for food and water and even a quick dust bath then goes right back

One of my strongest broodies and possibly the best mother hen I've ever seen is preparing to go broody again. Yesterday I watched her literally walk in front of her favorite rooster, turn around and squat right in front of him. He actually seemed rather startled by her obviousness, but then took advantage of the situation and proceeded to mate her. Now she's trying to hide her eggs. Mama Lily want's to be a mama again!

@igorsMistress I have the one over here that could be a twin to your's, the way it looks, and it hatched from a tan egg too. So, I understand the adorable part. :love

@FeatherPugs I'm glad that they are doing well. So, Annie is going around kicking some rooster butt? Now, that would make for watching some good chicken tv! :gig

@Michelle Guynn Hazel will be 3 months old in a couple more day's. So, the time is coming closer to your mint green eggs. If she breeds with your roo later, you will probably have some sort of frizzel chicks if you hatched them out, right?

Aww cute story! What a funny picture that brings lol

I've had hens squat for Roo when they are trying to move up in the pecking order by being his number one lol they like the easy hens that dont scream or run away and thus they move up in the order

Lol Angel did that way back when ...and Dina
