Of those 2 that I hatched about a week behind you, the one that hatched from the tan egg I'm pretty sure it's a boy. It's probably going to look like Charley. The other one that hatched from the blue egg is white with black spotting in it and it seem's to be a pullet. It should be interesting to see how the feathering in the pullet grows out, being as it's mixed with the CCLB and should end up being another green egg layer.
Do they have bibs or bow ties?
I also believe my Wyandotte may have started molting. Her feathers have been all over the place lately and she has lots of new little quills (I think that's what they're called) growing in. I wonder if my other girls will start soon too.
I don't want to get rid of any of my hens, but if I could find someone who wanted a broody I would consider it. I hate to not let her utilize her instincts, but I don't have a rooster nor do I wants chicks. She would make a great mama hen.
