Yes...food related names often prevail at my house too. One flock was a celebration of breakfast: Cocoa Puffs, Lucky Charms, & Pop Tart. Then there's Skittles, Hershey, Dulce, Saffron, Muffin, Gingersnap, Gingy, Cherry, and Kit Kat.

On the movie theme...I have Clarice and Starling, ("Silence of the Lambs") and of course, Rocky. Also Wesley and Buttercup ("The Princess Bride")...and just for fun...Pebbles & Bam Bam.

Yeah...I get into the whole name thing.

I tend to only name the one's that I am impressed with and wanting to keep for myself. I figure that whoever buy's the one's that I want to sell can name those.

I do have a Carmella and a Creamsicle.... Only a few of my birds are named and most of them are haphazard. Like either my stepdaughter named them, or something just jumped out at me. I named Nanna, Remmington, Pearl, and Big Blue. My StepD named Erin and Snow. And Kevin kinda named Elvira when he called her Elvis and it turned out to be a girl so I switched it to Elvira....

Oooh, I love Urban Decay. Their Ozone lip primer is fantastic. I wear makeup to work and I don't like to have to fuss with it during my shift, so the lip primer is my go-to.

Brooder is all set up and ready to go. Plugged in the brooder plate to make sure it works. Chicks ship Monday!

I got a chick feeder that you attach a Mason jar to, but I fill up the Mason jar, then flip the thing over, the whole Mason jar empties to fill up the feeder! Kinda ridiculous. What's the point of the jar?

The jar is to add weight so they don't knock it over when they start trying to roost on top of it.

I can't believe this my neighbor dropped off a 2 week chick BC the others were killed by her dogs this one has a bad limp

I took him to the broody I figured he was too old but I tried he sat so calm by her side she stared and one minute later he got a peck from her so he is inside with me and I'm running to get chick feed which was a plan for tomorrow but ill post a pic soon

Is this for water or feed. If it's closed properly, it should only let a small amount at a time out. Try screwing the top in either tighter or looser.

Looks like he might of been injured in whatever killed his brooder mates. Irresponsible bc baby chicks are easy to protect from other animals

Apparently she fed them hay bc of all the droppings I'm getting I'm sure that's not healthy either poor baby

This chick is so calm and loves to perch on you and hobbles to the feed zndwater and is eating and drinking just fine so i suppose he is ok but the limp is very bad..... im assuming its an injury and not some marecks disease ill have to look that up....
