Arizona Chickens

I can. She is so much bigger than him. I’m going to keep him in with hazel and Matilda.

Two eggs under Emma weren’t fertile so I put the 2 I had in the incubator under her. So she has a total of 6. 10 days to go.

Cool! Those 2 blue eggs that I marked and gave to my broody are due to hatch on the 18th. I brought them in the house last night to candle them, added them to my incubator overnight, and then gave them back to her today. Both are developing.

@Michelle Guynn Doesn't that just make you cringe when that happens......We had two in the last batch. One from the three some I got and one from the eye-candy. Not bad out of 14 total! They are both now gone to have big flocks of girls of their own on a farm in Florence. They paid for our dinner tonight! :gig Thanks boys!! :love

If they need more big boy's later on over there, tell them that I always have extra's over here! :gig

@meetthebubus hooray for Picasso! That is great news. Did you ever determine what breed he/she may be? Speckled Sussex?
@Geranium I'm so excited for you :ya be sure to take lots of pics because they grow so fast. Also make sure you check for pasty butt in the days after their delivery, because it is common in shipped chicks (but totally treatable when caught early). One out of my ten had it for a few days. I can't wait to see the blue orphington! My buff is such a sweetheart. It's a great breed.

Well I need a new name for Darla as HE crowed this morning.
Haha you could of kept darla.... been original boy name congrats in a way though, :)

At the same time I posted in the breed forum and someone else said s ussex, but featherpugs was right on the money I think by looking at pics online i never paid attention to that breed before but its said they date back to the Roman times :D
