Arizona Chickens

You most likely have this feeder.:idunno
I use these also. It just happens the small jars fit since the thread on them is same as the quart size.

I load up mine in the feed bucket and try to fill the bottom somewhat as I screw it onto the jar. When I set it right side up like in pix, the feed only drops about 1/3 of the way down. The feed is available to the chicks for extended time VS using an open container. Also keeps out the chick gumdrops out of feed. :)
You may also find that other jars from things like pickles from the grocery store use the same neck size . They can screw onto the feed holder and hold larger quantities as well.
Yes that's exactly the kind I have! Thanks - I'll pick up some bigger jars to use after the first few days.

Chicks are on their way! They didn't have a Lavender orpington to send me, so they're sending a blue orpington instead. Should be gorgeous! I'M SO EXCITED YOU GUYS.

Update on baby Picasso,

She/he is full of energy now, the crop has reduced greatly and there s plenty of droppings in the brooder!

She is needy and wants to be with a human and not just on, but up high next to face so I'm always putting her down

She has tremors still but this morning she flew 10 ft to try to get to where I was standing

I have hopes for her now .......boy she chatters all the time lol
