@meetthebubus Olive oil. I think it was @SonoranChick who gave her girl bread soaked in olive oil for her crop. Dang little to have an impacted crop. Hope it clears up fast.
About extra protein for the molting chickies. I have always given dry catfood and leftover catfood stuffs and my girls love it as extra protein. Also you can got to flock raiser or chick starter for your flock as its higher in protein - just have oyster shell on the side. Here I give mealy worms as an extra but we aren't doing much molting yet we have feathers around but not really molt type of feathers. Old wives tale about it will be a cooler winter with early molt. I tend to believe old wives tales sometimes.
We had 108 here yesterday! Supposed to be going down, down to 104 for most of next week.

Thanks @FeatherPugs I gave him olive oil with syringe and 20 minutes later it threw up chick feed then poo'd a little but I don't know... My chicks never had this issue

Yes I gave olive oil soaked break, and offered grit (sometimes soaked that in olive oil as well). I also did lots of crop massages. Momo would not eat her chicken feed during this time, but did show interest in foods like watermelon, cucumber and chickie garden picnic seed from the feed store. Just be careful with foods like that since Picasso is a chick. Poor little guy, I hope he comes around.

I got the girls some Super Spur poultry supplement, a pkg of dried mealworms and some BOSS. The supplement says it's good for molting. I couldn't find the calf manna at my local place so I'm looking for a recipe for molt muffins without that in it.

I still swear by raw, ground up lamb for the worst molters.

And in this climate, as long as you keep the birds in coops at night and they have plenty of flock mates to snuggle up to, you really don't need to worry about them getting cold in the winter...unless we have an unusually cold winter. These birds are much hardier than we give them credit for.

If it's eating and drinking okay, I would try giving it a little molasses in the water for no more than 24 hours....assuming you've cleared the crop....and chick grit. The molasses will help it pass everything through it's system more quickly plus give it a bit of a vitamin boost. It should poop quite a lot, which is why you don't want it to have that concoction for longer than a day. After that, stick to moist chick feed for at least a couple days and lots of clean, fresh water.

What do you all think of the chick regurgitating? Not eating... but will drink water i give he is already so skinny at leasf there are still some droppings.... ugh in some ways I regret taking him, she didnt mention his issues but I'm glad I can try to help him.....

If his crop is still impacted he is likely not eating because he feels "full"- when Momo had her issues I read that the crop regulates their feeling of being full or needing to eat more. If he is regurgitating it could be a good thing, because that gunk has to either come out the mouth or break down and go through him if he is to survive. He may also be doing this because he can't physically get anything else down the crop, so it comes back up. I know how hard it is to take care of a sick chick or chicken, you feel so helpless sometimes. I know you have a big heart for chickens, and he is a very lucky little guy to have you right now. Even if it doesn't work out the way we hope it will, he is clearly in much better care while in your hands

I found a little brown pullet egg out there today with my regular sized eggs. It look's like maybe one of the younger gal's has started to give me egg's now!
