Arizona Chickens

What do you all think of the chick regurgitating? Not eating... but will drink water i give he is already so skinny at leasf there are still some droppings.... ugh in some ways I regret taking him, she didnt mention his issues but I'm glad I can try to help him.....

If she fed it straw and not grit, then that poor little guy's probably in some pretty serious distress. I've used ACV in water fed by syringe to add liquid and loosen up impaction, but never in such a young bird before. Once able to effectively massage the crop and feel that things have loosened up, tip the bird over and massage that gunk right out it's mouth. Get as much out as possible, and then be sure to offer chick grit with any food you supply thereafter.

Poor guy. He's lucky to have you caring for him.

Thanks so much for your help!

One of my new girls is laying an olive green egg! I was really excited and didn't know which girl it was as she was an early riser/egger. I just happened to be early one day and caught who it was in the nest that laid the olive green egg. It is wonderful to look for it every day. I'll try to post pics - gotta remember first! Roosters leave tomorrow I hope. We will have a quieter and less tension yard.

What breed of roo's did you have?

These are some NN from DesertChic that were bred for eye-candy. I am not sure which NN roo this was as she has beautiful roos she uses for breeding. I got my eye candy and a little extra. One girl lays pink eggs, then the various brown egg layers - which everyone loves and this olive egg. I'm enjoying the heck out of it even if my princess duties increased two-fold.
