Arizona Chickens

They have a repuation of being a bit skittish, but less skittish than full leghorns. If you don't want snuggly hens they're good egg layers.

I agree. Remember when I had those 3 chicks of that mix? They are also called Austra-Whites. They were so flighty and skittish, and I noticed the difference in the way that the rest of my flock was acting. I got rid of those chicks before they were even grown up enough to lay eggs. I like peace within my flock.

Chick pics never get old, right?!?!?! No better way to brighten up your day than with fuzznuggets. :love:jumpy

I had a friend of mine incubate some quail eggs for me and they all hatched yesterday, so now I have 25 little fluff popcorns... So freaking adorable right now... :yesss:View attachment 1531759

Too cute! And as a bonus, I have a new favorite word...."fuzznuggets"!

I see silkies over on CL quite often along with those Ayam Cemani.

Be careful. I know of two people who purchased Silkies from a CL lister and got very sickly birds. In both cases, all of the chicks died and the person who sold them wouldn't even return phone calls let alone refund money. Both people also told me the sellers pressured them to make the buy. I guess that would be the best indicator that something's wrong.

Got rear-ended today, pretty bad, im ok but really stressed, sore, and overwhelmed. Might be totaled the vehicle air bags deployed Got babyfood for picasso while picking up meds at pharmacy, and looks like the one chick is all that will hatch, no buff babies, ee chick doing well , rambita is good mama

I'm so sorry to hear that, and I'm very glad you're okay. I've been in a few car accidents myself, and my husband was in a very bad one, so I know how incredibly traumatizing they can be, both physically and mentally. Ironically, we own an auto body repair shop, and we see a lot of people right after they've been in car accidents. My shoulders have felt a lot of tears from total strangers. If you need any advice on handling the claim, just say the word. My husband has been dealing with insurance companies for over two decades and knows very well the stunts they try to pull, and would be more than happy to give you advice on what your rights are and how the situation should be managed. Especially if you've never had to deal with something like this before, he's a wealth of information and may at least be able to empower you with information.
