Arizona Chickens

Good Morning, How is everyone? I let Sir Poops a Lot out with the big kids last night, slight pecking order behaviors, then added him to the coop, beyond having to assist, no issue there, they've been up probably close to 3 hours now and I just checked on him, he still has his tail feathers:love:yesss:, my question is how soon should I allow him out of the run to free range, I've just started giving everyone free range time. Big hens and Roo answer to the coffee can for getting them back in the run early and come in on their own just before sun set.

I fought my broody to get today's egg's from under her. Then I put 3 plastic egg's in the other nest box. I checked on it a bit ago, and she moved to the box with the plastic egg's in it and is happily sitting on them.
Ha!! I just took some eggs from another pen tonight and added them under my fourth broody of the year so far. If they want to do the work for me... more power to the girls!!!

Well, if I had some egg's with some new blood, I'd let her sit on them. I'm growing out the last batch of chick's from my flock that hatched on April 14th. I had hoped to buy some hatching egg's from @DesertChic out of her blue egg NN pen, but she hasn't been seen lately.

Well, if you want something to mess with I've got this pure bred black Ameraucana that lays pure blue eggs under my blue Bresse/NN boy. You won't get all NN's and most of the offspring should lay a light green egg. But it could be something fun....
