I'm glad they all survived, for better or worse, lol. most birds can't be wing sexed, and the I think they're too young for anything else. good luck and have fun!Hi does anyone know if these are roos or hens? funny story really...
About 4 weeks ago we lost one of hens to our new puppy...
Last week Friday 3/20/20 My wife told me that I have a package at the post office that I have to pick up... she told me that morning then reminded me 2 more times. So i go to the post office and waited and waited while they searched. Finally a box, not big either, and I heard them "chirp chirp chirp," I couldn't believe it. Then she called and said I had another package to pick up while I was still there. Oooooh boy, I thought. They couldn't find the other box and said it will probably be at my house. So I went to the car with the box I received opened the lid and there, 10 of em, Polish straight run. The other box did not come that day. I ended up picking it up the next day all the chicks 10 additional Rhode Island Red Pullets all alive and well, GOOD, or not. The thing is my flock was 4 and I lost 1 leaving me with 3 and I thought you know what 3 is enough, although it does feels different when I hand feed them and I am missing one.
So I found out later my wife's Father heard that I had lost one and ordered me 20 chicks. I called him and said "well hey that's a good one! Got me that time!"
And now... 3+14 (lost 6 so far 1 in transit )= 17 I will end up getting rid of most of these. I cannot have roos, I am in central phoenix that is why I'm hoping to find out what I have.
Hope you enjoyed the story
