That is too bad. Mine like them are pretty good layers. Not as mild mannered as the NNs.
These lay egg's good too, but I don't need a mean girl in there stressing out the other's. She not only think's that she own's all of the feed station's, but the coop and all of the nest boxes and area's belong to her also. I'm tired of having to collect the poor pullet girl's egg's from all over the chicken run because she won't let them lay the egg in the coop.
I felt terrible for them so I decided to take them in since I already have the supplies from raising our girls last year. I just noticed that one of the chicks has a toe (or is it considered a claw?) that looks broken and lays sideways when she walks. Is there a way to help it get straightened or will it not heal? I’d hate for her to die so soon or be in any pain. I’ll try to get a picture of it once I get their area prepared with food and water.
