Boy, this chick is talkative for sure. It's already out of the shell.

No, not yet. The one that hatched this morning is probably going to be a boy.

The one that hatched yesterday morning is dry and in the brooder. The one that hatched yesterday evening has completely kicked off it's shell and is fluffing up, but not ready to add to the brooder yet. There's another one that hatched while I was sleeping, and it still look's to still be pretty wet and is sleeping.

Good morning everyone! For the past week I’ve been letting the chicks out with our hen in the run and last night we let them sleep in the same coop, everything went well! They all slept on one roost while she slept on another . I think they’re still a bit too small to free range around the yard so they’ll stay in the run for a few more weeks. @BlueBaby I hope your hatch continues on a good note! I’ll never get tired of seeing some cute babies in the thread

I had to just go out there and grab that same hen that went broody again. I put her in the pen with the cockerel. It worked the last time, and changed her mind about being broody, so I figured I'd do it that way again. I also noticed that the ant's are back again this morning so giving the ant hill's a good dose of the Permethrin10.

yes it's a few times more dangerous than kissing wild *song*birds! at least according to the report on the cdc website.
