There was quite a lightning show overnight.

Yes here up north too about 2:30 am.

Very bright lightning here, too! Only 1/4" of rain in the gauge, but I will take it!

@BlueBaby -- My neighbor got some chicks at the feed store that they told here were Ameraucanas, they sure do not look it to me, they are red and white splash, almost like your Alohas. No feathers on their faces, either. I think I will have to take some photos -- she was asking me what I thought they are, I have no Idea!

That could be interesting to see. I think that someone is breeding the Swedish Flower hen's to have more of the red/gold in them too.

I have been outside trying to enjoy the cooler weather while it's still here.

we got over an inch here and plenty of lightning and loud thunder, but no closer than a mile from us. I think the rain was the last straw for the tiger fire. It's been handed back to the local fire depts as of today and they're continuing to monitor.

Well, now I think that the 2nd NN Aloha hen is going broody. This is the 2nd day that she has been spending most of her time in a nest box.

We got just a trace of rain here, but we were getting alerts on the radio for Yavapai county.

Well, I seen one of those tiny cars in your area (I think it was called a Prius) go floating down the street last night on the new's on tv.
