Arizona Chickens

Wow, an Argent Fox Brother Maynard is very rare nowadays! And the Triplett is very pretty--I got to try one out somewhere. The ones I play the most are my Marini harps and my Blevins harps. And yes, who can be without a harpsicle? I've bought and sold 8 of them, keeping this last fullsicle. I think I've bought 26 and sold 17 harps through the years, so the ones I now have are my forever favorites. Anyway, what fun to discover another harpist in the BYC! Happy Harping, especially to serenade your chickens!

Yes, and maybe @Geckolady will be able to get her gabby chick to sing along? :gig

The electricity just came back on. It's going on and off and very weak. The storm damaged some of APS's equipment. My main concern is the heating plate for the chicks.

LOL, Gabby the chatty little chick might like that. The dogs complain when I try to sing along with the harp, so I just stick to playing.

I hope the chick's will be ok. Maybe you could throw a blanket over the brooder to help to keep the cold out until the electric comes back on correctly for the heating plate to work again?

I posted this in the General but was told the Arizona group might enjoy it, too. I live in the ghost town of Pearce, in the Sulphur Springs Valley south of Willcox. Those are the Dragoon Mountains below the rainbow. Our monsoons are just beginning.
So here it is, from this morning.

I just barely had time to capture the rainbow with Bill Fuller's crowing this morning!

And when it started to sprinkle, we all had coffee on the porch!

SOOOO Beautiful and green --- and I think I might have similar teacups- also beautiful

There's a high chance of rain again today for us, too. Last night it stormed, and my dog is afraid on thunderstorms. Having a panicked 85-90 lb. dog jump on top of you while you're sleeping doesn't help with getting enough rest. *yawn*
My 65 lb dog shakes like a leaf at thunder/gunshots/fireworks - the younger skinnier 40 lb dog thinks she is scared too just to grab some attention. Not fun you are right - glad mine are not 90 lbs!

LOL, I don't have any pictures of them on this phone or computer, but I have a Rees Fullsicle, a Triplett Celtic II, and an Argent Fox Brother Maynard (the wire strung one). I looks like you have little Rees one in that picture, too.

The rain is coming down so heavy that I can't see across the yard. It's been years since I've seen it pour this hard. The lights are flickering and I'm going to get off the computer for now.
I have a big battery powered UPS (Uninterruptible Power System) that evens out power filckers and will run my modem and router for about 4 hours in an outage. Un-even power is a problem for electronics even if it doesn't go completely out.
