Arizona Chickens

I posted this in the General but was told the Arizona group might enjoy it, too. I live in the ghost town of Pearce, in the Sulphur Springs Valley south of Willcox. Those are the Dragoon Mountains below the rainbow. Our monsoons are just beginning.
So here it is, from this morning.


I just barely had time to capture the rainbow with Bill Fuller's crowing this morning!

And when it started to sprinkle, we all had coffee on the porch!

Thanks....it's my favorite place to relax, with the chickens and the mountains in the background! Almost every day I bring my smallest harp out and play....

And if not on the porch, then in the hammock. (I sound like a lazy bum, don't I?) Just as long as I have my chickens and my dogs with me!

You play the harp? Me, too!!! I have two nylon strung harps and a wire strung one.

I wish I could train mine to do that! Now, the parrot is easy to train to use the toilet! I have to hose down the patio if the chickens get over there!

There's a high chance of rain again today for us, too. Last night it stormed, and my dog is afraid on thunderstorms. Having a panicked 85-90 lb. dog jump on top of you while you're sleeping doesn't help with getting enough rest. *yawn*

We just got a nice burst of rain and a flash flood warning on the weather radio.
