Arizona Chickens

Thank you!! I didn't realize how excited I'd be... seeing that first egg! I must be cuckoo! :wee
It's always exciting when you find that first egg after waiting so long for it to happen. It happens to all of us. I still thank them every time I find egg's out there.
 
It's hard to see but this is a 3 legged coyote (I think) that just took out a cat, carrying it off to a neighboring property to eat.

I saw the 3-legger go up to the road and then I saw this coyote come back in less than minute later with the cat so I'm pretty sure it's the one with a lame back leg and not one of the other 2 coyotes.

At least it wasn't somebody's chicken or duck. That cat should have been able to outrun a 3 legged coyote, you'd think.

By the way, how is the little naked neck chick feathering out? The 2 Bielefelder pullet chick's that I kept have a lot of feathering on them now.

comb is bigger than the others so maybe a roo... too early to tell still tho... And like you said even a NN/Bielefelder roo is useful in this project.
