Freydis laid her 2nd egg today (1st was yesterday)! Funny, I had 3 girls in one nestbox at one time.

After Freydis left the box, I caught this photo.

It's not unusual to find several hens in the same box trying to lay eggs at the same time. I once seen a hen of mine get tired of waiting, so she layed her egg on another hens back. Then the egg rolled off of that hens back and she pulled the egg underneath her.

I just got done putting my spare garbage cans in the shed, putting scrap lumber away, even bungeed the main garbage can to a fence post!

My area is getting 45-55 mph winds and gusts up to 70 starting tomorrow (Tuesday) evening.

Yes, I heard that was coming on last night's news on tv. I already refilled my feed bucket so I wouldn't have to try doing it when it's windy out.

Yikes! Hard to imagine when it's totally calm here in the far west valley. It's sunny and not a whisper of a breeze. I'm sitting outside in shorts going through recipes.

According to what the forecast on the news last night, the Temps will be like a yoyo the next few days and there's chance of rain.

Yeah. Saw that. That's why I'm taking advantage of enjoying it now. Going down in the 50s again with rain on Wed and following. Thursday we have to setup our homeshow booth at the Stadium. Unfortunately, rainy weather tends to keep people away.

Yes, the weather has been crazy this year, but the snow that has been happing up in Northern AZ will help our states water table levels out.

yes, so when (shhh) summer comes maybe there won't be as much rationing of water for our misters etc.

We can only hope that is the case, and that it won't be so dry that there will be less forest fires.
