I know that feed supply and prices have been a subject here a while ago. Just wanted to share what is happening in my area. Feed is in sufficient supplies, and the price has come down a little as well.
This is the feed I use from the store I purchase. It is the House Brand they sell. They also offer other brands/lines of feed. Farm and Fleet is equivalent store to Tractor Supply, but not nationwide like TSC.
I dug up a snip I took in November 2022, and second one is from today.
These are 50 pound bags. I use Alflock @2% calcium because I have some hens that are retired geriatrics, and do not lay much anymore. I always provide Oyster Shells free-choice.
Layer feed is less money than Alflock that I use.
The Layer feed is at the Federation low end @ 16% protein.
The Alflock is @ 18% protein.
Possibly that is the key to the lower price for Layer.
Chick Starter Grower feed is @18% protein.

November price.

That's interesting. How are things going for you and your flock up there?

Everything is good. Getting ready to take my chickens out from winter housing, (inside garage loft) and into outdoor coop.
Looks like we are expecting 3 inches of snow tomorrow.
The temps are mild enough for outdoor stay, and even if temps drop below freezing, overnight, Daytime temps are above freezing.

It look's like you will have to get your snow shovel out tomorrow up there.

Well, it's been a few day's since anyone came in here to post. How is everyone and the flock's doing?

My flock is doing ok, and the egg's are starting to pick up over here. I just washed and put the week's eggs in the fridge last night. The 6 chick's are all doing ok in the brooder in the spare room.

I got the laundry all done yesterday.

I moved the baby chicks outside yesterday. They hatched 2/14, so about 2.5 weeks old. The grayish one between the waterer and feeder is the "baby baby" because it had a hard time. I had cleaned pasty butt and thought I'd lose it. It was half the size of the others, now it is just very far behind in feathering. Facing that one is the most-feathered one. These are sapphire splash, gem & olive egger from TSC/Hoover's.

It's good that you didn't lose that one. Your chick's are 10 day's older then mine.

We are supposed to have some decent weather this week.
