I've started soaking scratch overnite as a treat for chickens. Just a couple cups each day for all the chickens total (about 38 now). I've also started putting a little water in with dry food so they think it's something special. Chickens love it!

Sometimes scratch is barely starting to sprout.
Yes, they do love the wet feed, and you can mix other thing's in it too for the adults to make sure that they eat the feed too and not just the treat mixed into it. Chicks also like the wet chick feed, but I don't add any treats in their's until they are older.

I'm glad it didn't decide to do that downpour last night until I got home. Went to a thing last night being held over at the Harrah's Ak-Chin Casino to oppose a trailer home park that want to put in about a mile from me. There were a lot of other people here that went to oppose it too. It just doesn't fit into the area that they want to put it in.

Good you showed up - I hope it goes your way - that's not good to increase the density from 1 to 50+ like most mobile home parks have. Not to mention they might impact your way of life in a variety of ways - mostly detrimentally.

Are you on a well there? And is the proposed development going to be on a well system or part of town water system? What about waste-water and storm water system for the development, and road upkeep to get to the park if they are not doing extensive road improvements? Also park fencing needs to be dog proof so they don't wander onto your property, otherwise you will need a dog proof fence at key areas of your property. So many questions...

They want to put way more then just 50+ trailer homes there, more like over 200. All the people adjacent to where they want to put it live on at least a 3 acre lot. They are saying that Global Water will supply them, but they can't put in water lines that will cross over the Papago Butte's Water lines. They also say that some Fire Department that doesn't even exist out here will service those. I don't know why they don't want to use our local one that does exist. The Fire Chief of our local Thunderbird Farms Fire Department was there too last night. The roads barely have enough room to have 2 way traffic on if one vehicle has a shoulder to move over to.

Not only that, but if people were to buy a trailer home to put in there, they would not own the dirt that it would sit on. If the owner sold the property, they would force you to move. If you bought your trailer house there that would mean you could move your trailer house only if you could afford to move it. Not good at all for anyone.
