I just released the chick's that have been in my grow out pen and I'm out here watching to make sure none get too hurt from the big ones.

:confused:Not yet. They haven’t externally pipped. I don’t know if they did internally either. I don’t hear peeping so I think it’s just wiggly eggies until they decide to show themselves! Watch them be dramatic about it lmao.
You will go to sleep, and when you wake up you will see chick's most likely. :lau

Have you found a certain time of day best to do this? Wondering if there's any advantage to... say ... late afternoon or morning.

I do it before the sun goes down when it's warmer like this. They don't have long to get pecked before the sun goes down and they all sleep. In the morning it seems that like the big's think that they basically belong there then. I watch the next day anyway's.

Makes sense. How old are your Littles now? How are they doing today?
