I just released the chick's that have been in my grow out pen and I'm out here watching to make sure none get too hurt from the big ones.

Not yet. They haven’t externally pipped. I don’t know if they did internally either. I don’t hear peeping so I think it’s just wiggly eggies until they decide to show themselves! Watch them be dramatic about it lmao.

Have you found a certain time of day best to do this? Wondering if there's any advantage to... say ... late afternoon or morning.

I do it before the sun goes down when it's warmer like this. They don't have long to get pecked before the sun goes down and they all sleep. In the morning it seems that like the big's think that they basically belong there then. I watch the next day anyway's.

Those are the one's that hatched on Feb. 24th. They are ok. They are staying away from the big ones more or less, and they can run fast if they need to.
