Arizona Chickens

Well, one duckling out now, and it's a girl.

We have little blobs! They bounce all over the place in their eggs except one that is all subdued. I cannot wait to see what they look like! I hope they all come out and become my cuddle bugs! Cause my cuddle bug EE passed away today doing exactly what she loved.. sunning herself in the sunshine while dust bathing. She just laid down, stretched out and went to sleep in the sunshine and didn’t wake up.

Her sister and other flock mate tried to wake her so we removed her as soon as possible to bury her under our tree with my Boba and Storm.

So sorry on your EE. I'm sure you gave all yours the best life they could hope for - a chicken paradise is what I call it. And I hope your new ones to hatch shortly will be happy healthy and a joy to you!

The funny thing is we were just joking about this! Fluffernutter was loved so much lol. We would let her come into the house with her sister and give them fruits and greens where no one else could see before taking them all a big platter of it! Sometimes I swear they are better than I did! They would have a whole salad with chicken as a treat. So I know they were spoiled lmao compared to what we feed ourselves and it was all in the hopes of having them live better and longer lives. Two years just isn’t enough time sometimes and her sister is showing signs of slowing down too. But as I have noticed, chickens aren’t bred for longevity.

Here we go!! Kazuki and Fluffernutter! My two EE girls that became so friendly we used to take them with us shopping 🥰😂🤣 now we take Rugby instead!
