Arizona Chickens

Saw a suggestion somewhere to add some chia seeds to ice water for the chickens to cool off. Decided to try it. Even my babies (8-9 weeks old) tried some.

You could probably add other things that they like in there too. Yours look like everyone has become one big happy family now. No more broody?

They're doing better for sure. The Biele girls are still pecking at the babies but it's slowly getting better. The babies can still jump in their crate when scared. Or they go up on a roost. When I sit in the run, they stay near me. Guess they know I'll keep them safe. They hop up on my lap every day. :love

I did have to put 2 of my EE's in a broody breaker today. One of those - "Pretty Girl" - goes broody fairly often.
