Yes, one of my neighbor's duck egg in there is trying to start hatching in there too now. I hope that one will be a girl.Aaaaaaaaa darn it so exciting! Little babies![]()

It just happens sometimes, even if you don't know why.I hope so too! Maaaannn I wish Storm had survived. No idea why he passed other then he was just a weak baby since it was such a hard hatch for him.
Yeah ;.; he taught me a lot though in the small amount of time he was here. I am a lot more prepared for ducklings than I had been.It just happens sometimes, even if you don't know why.
You could probably add other things that they like in there too. Yours look like everyone has become one big happy family now. No more broody?Saw a suggestion somewhere to add some chia seeds to ice water for the chickens to cool off. Decided to try it. Even my babies (8-9 weeks old) tried some.
They're doing better for sure. The Biele girls are still pecking at the babies but it's slowly getting better. The babies can still jump in their crate when scared. Or they go up on a roost. When I sit in the run, they stay near me. Guess they know I'll keep them safe. They hop up on my lap every day.You could probably add other things that they like in there too. I did have to put 2 of my EE's in a broody breaker today. One of those - "Pretty Girl" - goes broody fairly often.
