It's about time we start getting some cooler weather, huh?

I think the duck hen is getting ready to start laying egg's. I was just out there and she's sitting in the spot where the hen's like to lay at. I've been waiting for that first egg from her.

They have fun doing it, and you have fun watching them do it, plus they get to eat the whole thing of something that is good for them. You are going to get some nice colored yolks out of your girls now!

I have a 2 week old Black Australorp chick showing a lot of comb, so if anyone might like a BA Rooster then please connect and you can have this one when he is fully feathered.

Got our first frosts last 2 nights. I don't enjoy WINTER much. Have to live with it regardless of my wishes.

Too chilly for me!

We woke up to no water in the house. But not from burst frozen pipes, lol. A pipe did burst though... on our neighbors property (shared well).

Glad I don't live up north and have to deal with that stuff anymore. Bundle up.
