https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/492321/help-how-long-to-remove-chicks-after-hatching-in-incubatorIt shows there is 4 of you besides me on the thread right now. I need a answer right away please. My Serama chicks are almost 24 hour old. I still have them in the incubator. Should I keep them there for another day? Is it true they don't get food or water for a couple of days after hatch? These little chicks mean a lot to me and I want to do right.
Looks like your luck has turned. Can't wait to see pictures of them. They must be so tiny. Thanks Mama Hen Chris. I got smart and found some articles also about just hatched chicks. I will put them in a brooder tomorrow. I still can't believe I actually hatched Seramas! I have such little luck lately in hatching.

Yes I have chicks again, my youngest wanted chicks for her birthday 2 weeks ago so I said why not.I told the kids outright that we were going to sell them all if possible. I think all that are left are mixed breeds except for what I believe are a couple of EEs. I'll get pictures up one of these times, although they have grown out of the cute phase.![]()

So, how many chicks? And how big is the enlarged brooder box they're already outgrowing? Inquiring minds want to know.![]()
(Getting ready to build a brooder or two myself. Wondering if it's gonna be big enough...)
Quote: These seem smaller then a silky chick. One really is tiny. Get pictures in soon.
