God bless you Gallo for helping TT. We love you both!!

And TT, you ALWAYS make me smile... even if we both end up getting in trouble with the mods!!!!

So I know someone will be able to help me and since I don't have the time or energy to read a thousands posts tonight I am just going to post here. I went out this morning to a sick BCM hen, I think she has a cold so I pulled her right away and put her in a dog carrier. I couldn't put her in the garage since I have the garage brooder going with 15 chicks in there, I couldn't put her in my office since I had the hatchers and once they all hatch I keep them inside for a day before going into the brooder to make sure they are fluffy and dry, so the last place I could stash her separate from all birds and safe from my dogs, cat, and 6 year old was my master shower since it was the only quick solution as I was already running late for a staff meeting. I got home so late I didnt have time to set anything else up so she is still in the shower. It actually works pretty good since it is fully enclosed, I lined it with newspaper and set up her water and food and the dog carrier fits in there with room for her to get in and out to go bathroom. My husband was NOT happy when he got home to find a chicken in his shower.........

........maybe it was just the change in weather (rather suddenly) and maybe I am paranoid but here is what she was doing. It looks like she has runny poo, evidence of that was in the shower

. Her eyes are clear but some goop on edge (kind of like what my family calls "sleep on your eye") she sounded congested when she breathes like asthma. She drank water today but didn't eat. She had crumble and because it was on hand and ready for the hatch growgel with vitamins. I am worried the most about her breathing as she keeps her mouth open to breath. No sour crop, and her vent is clear although her runny poo stuck to some of her down.

Thoughts or ideas? I am going to hit the books (and by books I mean other posts and threads) in the morning before posting on the emergency forum if I say "it got really cold here like 40 degrees everyone that lives east, north, and even south of Phoenix will laugh me out of the thread. Arizona people understand our weather but people with more extreme weather think I am crazy to worry about my birds getting too cold. They remind me of my father saying "when I was a kid we walked to school in the snow with nothing but bags on our feet up hill both ways during a blizzard

" as he shoved us out the door to walk to the bus stop. Each time he would say something about when "he was a kid" it was like he expected us to say "you are so right dad, I am so lucky to be walking to the bus stop in freezing temps to ride a bus with no heat all the way to school which sucks because I would rather stay in my warm bed and sleep in...thank you for the awesome life lesson!"

Oh and I forgot to post...the babies are popping out of their shells so if you are interested in day old chicks PM me. I have BBS Orps, Lakenvelders, Golden Campines, Black and Blue Barred rocks, Blue Marans, Sex linked marans, and white leghorns. I will post pics tomorrow. OMG Lakenvelder chicks are just about the cutest things I have ever seen in my life!

Right. I'm glad. It looks good. I hope you do not mind my suggestion. I have no way of knowing what you know. After all I have a sister that thinks chicken eat only veggies, and she thinks it is amassing that her son and I are building this garden. I think she is amassing because she is so good with money and can keep a house. We all have are strengths and weakness. All I really know is you like chickens, I am assuming we share shades of the same reasons, not one but many, and you are a caring person.

I am home, and on my computer rather than my phone, so it is easier to type. I really do appreciate suggestions! I had googled "Simpson straps" and found pictures, I was wondering if that is what you were referring to. They do look very useful. I'm not even at the point of putting on the roof yet! Eventually :) Thank you for your nice comment and for your helpful advice :)
