Arizona Chickens

Oh my gosh! That is hilarious TY!.

Well, wish me luck everyone. I have to go outside and do my morning chores in the snow, yuk! All the water containers will be frozen. I will have to put straw down for the duck's feet. The poor geese won't know where to go. They are used to free ranging all day with the chickens but today the chickens won't leave the coop, their choice. I guess the geese will need to find a tree to sit under, and everyone will need extra scratch to help keep warm. It usually takes us a extra hour to get it all done during snow storms. By the time I get back in I will be an icicle, literally. At least there will be snow on the ground for a white Christmas. That is always a plus.

Hello,
I'm Kate from Tucson and have been learning a lot from this thread and from byc overall- so glad to have found such great resources. Now for a question- is anyone in the Tucson area keeping seramas- I would really like to keep a few- already have a mini coop built- so if anyone has any, even as far as the Phoenix area, let me know.
Kate

azhenhouse, that was an awesome insight to your life up at elevation. It almost made me miss real winter. Almost. We're glad to hear what it's like from you though! Good luck and don't slip.

kamperkate, I'm glad your found our thread. Good luck finding seramas.

It was great to hear the intermittent storms all night long after such a long dry spell. I think we got about an inch here in mid-city.
