City Farm up to or just below your knee. I will make sure and look closer at the biggest Nigerian Dwarf and make sure. Some are smaller then others. We have both parents.
Your going to galvanized over brass? Wow didn't think I would ever hear that. Where did you get your brass ones from? People don't believe me when I tell them about the quality differences from the big box stores. We replaced several lines these last few days and had one lady argue with me about the thickness of the type M copper on her roof until I physically showed her. Seeing is believing sometimes. Good luck with your leaks.![]()
If I am correct in order for us to have one in the city I need to get a note from a vet. At least that's what they said when I called code inforcement when i asked about the pygmy pigs.City Farm up to or just below your knee. First, welcome to QueenRilly. It's always good to have some fresh, young blood to add some more energy to the thread! Glad I'm not the only one with those thoughts on the chihuahuas...
I couldn't agree more! The only water that I think is actually worth bottling is the Fiji brand. It actually has a clean, refreshing taste to it. All of the rest have a nasty, bottled, dirty aftertaste that I can never get rid of. Personally, I have a reverse osmosis system installed at my house that runs a faucet on my sink and a link that runs to the refrigerator for water and ice. For the amount most people pay for bottled water or delivered water, I made that money back in a little under 10 months. The RO water tastes so much better, too.
The only drawback I've found to the RO water is that it evaporates far faster than tap water. It took me burning things numerous times to figure out it was the water. I find I need an average of about 25% more water to cook with, more so for long cooking stews and such. I cooked a pot of tap water and filtered water down to almost nothing and then compared the two for clarity and such. The difference was downright amazing. That was some nasty stuff in the tap. But from looking at Aquafina bottles and such, I'm sure those aren't any better than tap. It's a shame what they suffer in the other countries!
I saw an new product being developed for third-world countries that is a solar still. In about 8 hours, it's supposed to take the solar heat and use it to distill dirty water in to a secondary container. I'm not sure how much the final product will be or if he'll get large grants to provide it to the third-world countries for free, but it's an excellent idea. Elio Domestico Solar House Still
Solar stills are not new, maybe just the way they are made is new. I've used a solar water distiller for over 10 years. I like the taste (make that non-taste) of the distilled water, it takes out the minerals and contaminants and my water is really hard. We use it for drinking and cooking and I use it for my incubators so the hard water doesn't calcify on the reservoir trays, making them harder to clean. In the summer, our still makes up to 3 gallons a day, maybe half that in the winter.
Quote: Now the Nigerian Dwarf types were a small milk goat in Nigeria. The Nigerian/Nubian babies we have would make for a larger milk goat but not as large as a full blood Nubian. about the size of a large dog. They have floppy ears. We have several bucks to breed back to if you want a doe?
WE don't milk just love them and sell for the sweet pets they are.
Quote: Never heard of that. Most of the time I was told if your neighbors don't mind then you are OK. Maybe the Vet thing is something knew?
