Arizona Chickens

Soooo I stopped by the local feed store and they had some chicks.....like I said chicken math kicked in...along with the purchase of a new circular and reciporcating saw and lumber.....put those things together it can be dangerous!!

The staff at pet club had no idea what type of chicks they had so I just grabbed the best looking ones :)

I'm not sure what this one is, if anyone could guess....

I didn't do enough research to know what SLW chicks looked like and I was told by the store staff these were SLW's, I'm pretty sure they are Australorps...

They sure are cuter than I remember the first set of chicks being!! And smellier...are certain breeds smellier than others??

The first one looks like it could be a red or gold sex-link (gold with some white).
I don't know what SLW chicks look like but the black and white look exactly like our BA chicks. One ended up being named penguin.

I just picked up my 7 chicks from desertmarcia. I brought a friend with and desertmarcia gave us a tour of her place... her setup is AMAZING. It was really cool to see the huge pens set up with the different breeds, and everything was so clean and orderly. Her chickens are beautiful! And the landscaping! The chicks I got are wonderful, I've never met such calm and friendly chickies. They fell asleep in a pile under my hand on the way home. Pictures soon :D

Before I put them on craigslist, or worse, I thought I'd see if anyone here would like a couple of Silkie cockerels. They have all of their toes and are 12-14 weeks old. I can't keep them and would like to see them to go to a good home. They are free if you want them. I will check back here often for the next few days.

First one is a Cinnamon Queen.

Second two look like Australorps... but could be Black Sex Links or Barred Rocks

Cute chicks

Thanks! They are super cute! I had to look up Cinnamon Queen, I never heard of that breed before. Those are dome good looking birds! If the black chicks don't have white on their heads does that mean they aren't barred rocks? I'm fine with whatever they are as long as eggs come out eventually!

Second night in a row, all the kids cooped up on their own. I'm looking forward to my buddy taking his 7. I want to get down to our 8 and settle in.

Again, if anyone missed it!!

I have a 5-1/2 week old Buff Orpington cockerel. Free if you come get it, or if you know someone interested PM me. I'd rather have him go to a home than kill him.

I've never owned a silkie. They used to kinda scare me... LOL
