I put these roo boys on CL yesterday and someone asked if they were hens???? No takers so far. Hatched 12/12/12
Looking for a good home. Anyone interested?

Blue Copper Marans...not sure which breeder beehappy4ever got the eggs from.
Both boys hackles are coming in and more copper in the wings. Need to update their photos

I'm kind of new to chickens and I would have totally guessed that the top photo was a girl - doesn't look like a rooster at all to me.

I've got two Ameraucana cockerels that I'll be sending north to Heber with Boston this next week.

One is a BW... the muffs and beard aren't the greatest but it has good coloring.
The other is a GORGEOUS Splash Wheaten... most beautiful splash wheaten I've ever seen, blue tail feathers and bluish/slate legs, pretty muffs and beards... he'll produce some gorgeous Blue Wheatens over Wheaten hens.

Out of the 10 "Ameraucanas" I got from Pam in QC on Christmas Eve... only TWO were pullets and one was clean faced.

the luck of the draw with straight run chicks... but TWO of the roos were lookers so Boston can use them for breeding.

12/12/12 = 3/3/3 = 9 the number of the Virgin Mary. A good number.

I'd say the jury is still out on the splash orp... could end up being a gorgeous hen.
