Just wanted to share my excitement about finding my first ever EGG today.
Have been hearing an egg song for almost 3 weeks now (not daily) and no eggs. Then
the girls started squatting and walah! A tiny tan egg today. Not sure if it's
from my BA or RIR. I'm pretty confident it didn't come from my EE.
Regardless, all 3 got praised and a treat today. My grandson was over
the moon when he came home from school. He was the whole reason I
started with chickens. So we could make memories together. This one
was pretty special

Oh sooo cute! Reminds me of my "Yangtze" girl when she was growing up. Now she's just plain sneaky.

I can see this one being sneaky. She is a silly girl at the moment. Feathers are starting to come in now. Pretty soon she will be going to her forever home.

Duckie is now 3.3 weeks old...had to share. My 2 silkies are co broody and have been setting on 17 eggs for a friend. 2 Olive Eggers hatched yesterday and 1 Black Cooper Marans hatched today. The eggs traveled all the way from Connecticut to Arizona!!! Will see how many more hatch.

Wow lucky you... Mahonri & I wish our hens were broody!!! Mahonri our golf bals have been there for at least 5 days... NOTHING.. I am not going to mention the word BROODY again..

I put these roo boys on CL yesterday and someone asked if they were hens???? No takers so far. Hatched 12/12/12
