Arizona Chickens

Wish we could have made it!

Yesterday morning, my husband woke me up telling me it was time to get our son up who was needed to play drums early that morning. I was like, "Are you sure? It doesn't feel like it's even close to 7a.m.? Is your clock right?" Sure enough, his phone had switched to daylight savings time and I told him to go back to bed and I'd see him in an hour, then went back to sleep. LOL
I am really glad we don't have to switch here in AZ.

Yeah well if I did not have queenrilly as a witness my boys would of said they won..... I'm old &
can cheat just a bit... All I did was grab and release so quick, instead of hitting it with my hand... It was a blast!!
THANK YOU for the great evening... Your hen house is great. I hope to have a colony of meal worms like yours...
Your kids are so great... See ya all soon...

We were hoping that Loraine went broody yesterday. She was in the nesting area for about 6 hours...
When I got home from the BBQ she had gone to bed with the others.. :(
I know as soon as I quit thinking about it, it will happen.. RIGHT

Sure wish I didn't have to miss the Barbacue but ended up getting a house sitting job. Need to make money when I can. Remember my hubby and I house and animal sit. I am experianced in all type of animal care.

Yay, Yay, Yay!!!!

After all these weeks of you all hearing my complaining and not so very patiently waiting... I got my first egg!!!! AND GET THIS... I think it was my one and only little silkie hen who is just 20 weeks old. All my other birds that age will lay brown when they start, except for the 1 EE and I think it's too small for the EE.

Congratulations!!
