I have had a very positive input by people that have taken my advice on keeping animals out of their garden. I have mentioned it before, but not confident enough on reaction.... But with such aggressive and dangerous coyotes out there what do you have to lose and gain. (Note: this will seldom work with bears, they are too high on the food chain)
Put up a NO TRESPASSING SIGN
1. we are meat eaters, 2. we are a top of predictor, 3. we have our territory, 4. Lower animals fear us. HEAR US ROAR!
First prepare the area. Place stones, a stake in the ground, locate trees, walls, edges in circling you territory. These are like sign posts. At first rather close to gather. Now for the no trespassing sign itself. You can also ruff up an area of soil like dear do when they lay their sent.
I have established we are meat eaters, animals can smell it in our flesh and our urine. The most potent and biggest signs are meat and testosterone laden, a pack with Alfa male is excellent stuff. Do not drink beer to increases production. Also to much water lightens the sent. I suggest that a family chamber pot if you has post puberty boys. Female can be added or used alone if no males, BUT during the monthly cycle it will give a different message not a good time to use it. You do not need much, sprinkle or pure a small amount on each marker. This will bring the animal to abrupt halt. Sniff it read the sign. If they accept your message they will mark on top of yours. One person told me they dribbled it around their garden, and it worked. You will need to reinforce your markers every 3 or 4 days.
I do not know how they know but it seems they know when their is a very big dog on property.... Maybe an Alfa sent. The person that taught me this hunts boar for a living for ranchers in Florida. He said he will eat a big hunk of meat the night before and work out before collecting his Animal No Trespassing sign, he felt the excessive added more testosterone. Don't know for sure.
I have used mine and it has worked with polite predictors.
I was wondering if it would work on block walls. I know on fence posts on at corners of sidewalks across trails that lead into or near camp.
Seriously? Your family pees in a pot and you sprinkle it around your house every couple of days?
