Okay well my mom was visiting and I wanted to prove what great buggers my girls were. SO I got some more crickets, and video taped it. OF course since there were like 6 ppl standing around we had some of our Ladies decide not to participate near the camera, and they were way slower than last time. That being said I'll have to pick up some more on the way home from work at some point and take video with just the normal ppl around and NOT on my porch... though my porch right now was the only shaded spot. Peep however, is still our # 1 bug go-getter. Sorry I sound like Vader. I'm not sure if ti's allergies or I'm just stuffy. Peep however wasn't very deterred by the extra ppl and was more than happy to make sure my porch became bugless. It's possible I should have named this one the Peep show since I'm pretty sure she ate over half of them lol. Cad & GlaDos helped, but Dahlia wanted no part of all the ppl and Firey didn't even show up to the party. Chel (our new black EE) got behind the grill and found a couple. Sadly I didn't get the video there in time.
They are spoiled girls :)

Thanks for he 4-H info! I think one of my Sicilian Buttercups is a boy. This picture is fuzzy, but you can see how big his comb is. His feathering is very different than the other's that I think is a pullet. Oh, well. Here's my Roo:
Buttercup will be a nice addition to our flock.. In a few years...gorgeous so glad you posted photos

Thanks for the input bcluff! I am going to find out more today (hopefully). I know absolutely NOTHING about 4-H but have heard great things and my oldest (8 years old) has mentioned that he would like to do something related chickens and/or farming. Sadly, Boy Scouts is out of the question for my boys, so maybe this is the way to go.

why no boyscouts for your kids? I am a girlscout leader going on 4 years with this troop. my 7 year old son also wants to do boyscouts, but we let him play baseball instead. the den leaders for his age were dopes.

Gosh, I hope it's not the man City Farm saw and reported.
Quote: Well, the newpaper said that that was the first fatal accident since we got light rail, so I would think that it must be. I can't imagine why there was no rush to the scene from CityFarm's call to 911, not that they could have done anything at that point, but because there was no way to know that. The video might be helpful for those investigating the accident, but I agree that making public the video would be highly inappropriate. I can't believe people are asking to see it!
