takes a few minutes to load. or it did on my computer. He has some pretty birds.

Heres some pics of my chickens Hard to tell here, but the red extends back and around their eyes,nice contrast, almost evil looking but they are very gentle

We agree, our girl that looks very similar is extremely gentle.. We got her from @flower Wonderful bird!! What color of eggs do yours lay??

Lotus pond plant is still growing 3 out of 4 pods... I do have to change out the water daily.

Pretty boy is used to his cockadoodladoo colar.. It helps at the end of the finale.. Not as loud as his brother or father was..

Our sweet ducks playing in the water.. Boy do we love them!!

Blue Swedish.. They are about 3 months old..

No we don't.. They only ones we raised were really our first flock.. Now we let the broody's do it..
Or my favorite way to get a nice hen is saying "YES" to someone that is giving away a really nice one like @Arizonachicken gave us.. Sadie, she is such a sweet heart. When I let the duck out to free range, I let out all the nice girls too.. When the ducks are done swimming in the make shift pond, " horse trough" I go round up the good girls.. They go right back in.. Normally we let them all out at 5:30-6 pm. Then they just put themselves to bed..
HOWEVER, the jungle fowl come & go as they see fit.. They can fly & have figured out how to go out & play in the front yard, & maybe even some neighbors yard's.. There is a small opening above our gate.. They are small & tiny banty chickens.. We just happen to pick them up at a feed store.. Was hoping for a pair, since they guy said it was a straight run.. He also said that jungle fowl are about %70 roosters.. Come to find out that the 2 we got were hens..
AND, the other person bought all the rest had, well ya know... I wish I had their number so we could get a rooster.. Boy are they gorgeous, I mean the roosters.. The hen's look like E.E. or even like our welsumers a bit.. They have gray/green legs.. Other than that they are not as friendly..

Hello everyone. I have 2 silkie chicks available if anyone is interested. 3-4 weeks old now. Unsexed. With mom now but I'm at my fill and I just can't keep anymore. One is a black with some gray or blue splash and one is really light gray with some buff splash. My hens and Roos are from a breeder not from a hatchery. PM if interested. They're not for dinner though. Even if they are boys my two Roos are the most mellow and sweet boys ever.

The Bielefelders are very rare in this country, they are excellent meat birds and lay very large brown eggs. Very good temperament ,
They are not even laying yet and she's the size of a two year old.

How are they with the heat??

I have misting systems in front of fans. Its been 110 and I haven't lost any.There coops are painted with heat reflecting paint
