Here's a pic of my Navajo Churro wether and one of my ewes when they were young. Their coats get very long and it's not unusual to reach a foot or so long. They're double coated with the outer coat being coarse and the other fiber soft. This is the wool used in woven Navajo rugs, it's quite sturdy. Some people shear twice a year and some once, depending on what you want to do with the wool. They come in a variety of colors and some of the rams sport 4 horns. This guy has huge curling horns now and you have to be careful not to get nailed by them but he is super gentle.
