Arizona Chickens

Does anyone know if it's normal for silkies to have two toes on the back of their feet/legs and I'm not talking about like that back toe and the spur. these are 3 day old silkies. or does that just mean that they are roosters? they were straight run at the store so.. and the one that has them on both legs also doesn't have any feathering on the wings yet while the other one has a small amount of feathering on the wings.

Silkies have funky feathers and it's hard to tell gender for a few months. They also normally have 5 toes on their feet (seriously jealous-I had a 5 week old silkie but it got eaten along with the rest of my flock by some unknown varmint.)

If you are worried about them getting out, trim a wing! Also, a good way to keep chickens cool here is to get a rubber-made dishpan or something similar, fill it 1/2 way with water, and place bricks in the water. The chickens can stand on the bricks and cool down. Another good idea is to create an area with shade (I used a fabric shower curtain I found on clearance at family dollar)
As for noise, my neighbors have never once complained with just hens.
Great idea, ill have to keep that in mind.

It is perfwctly normal, in fact, it is a breed trait ^-^ They could be show quality, if the 2 "Thumbs" are spread far enough apart*

I mentioned before that I have a chick that I don't think is doing very well but I made her drink water and she's now sitting with me and making these low pitch peeps. So I'm wondering is she happy? it's like cheep cheep cheep except she's doing it very quietly. But if she likes it then I'll just keep doing it

They are 7 months old. I will sell the 3 for $10 each or $25 for all 3.

willing to trade 1 for egg-sitting/chick sitting. Got 8 eggs due to hatch on Sat the 12 and I poorly planned my spring break, my flight leaves the night before.
