Arizona Chickens

Does anyone know where I could find a friend for her?

Looking for maybeb bobwhite or button quail.

she is just so lonely and is always crying, my heart physically hurts for the poor thing...

Are you on the book of faces? There's an "Arizona Backyard Chickens" group there and I see people commenting about quail all the time.

Did you get the mama too?? or just one baby?

It was just the one baby that had survived.

Though its useless now, he passed away during the night. He hadn't been eating the food I had given him, and im thinking he just got too cold, even with the heat lamp on him. despite the 90 +degrees in the bin, his poor little body was freezing when I picked him up to go bury him.

The momma and daddy had probably abandoned when the nest flooded.

Hey is there any way to reach out to all the AZ Back-yarders that have not found the forum since it moved? Is there a way to send out an e-mail to everyone to let them know we are back up and miss them??? So many that used to post all the time, and we have not heard from them since the forum moved....

I'm sorry about whatever you're going through...
How many birds do you have???
I wish you were closer to Phoenix....
I think I have around 50-60 that I am wanting to get rid of.

OH mi gosh you have a silkie....

neeedddd im gonna go bat my big brown eyes at my dad.
That 1 Silkie is a rooster and he died last month from the heat! I do have some chicks, but those are the few birds I am choosing to keep!

ohhhhhhh I am so sorry....... I had my eye on him because I lost my silkie as well, he looks just like she did.

actually, they could have been siblings.

if for some reason you cannot re-home some of them in time, our Cienega FFA progrm is always accepting both roosters and hens. I know of two girl who will be showing this comign year and would adore any birds. I can try and get in contat with them again, if you like.

My mom is pretty stern about me NOT getting another chicken at the moment. Until I start paying for feed, I follow her standardsssss :/ though I just got a job at petco and Barking Iron Photography so i can start doing so and maybe, if I can earn the monet soon enough, adopt one of your birds? Do you have any bearded choks? beearded chickens allways tug on my heartstrings <3?
