Arizona Chickens

@FeatherPugs She's a bantam Cochin Frizzzle. I got her at CBL Livestock in Peoria. Family owned shop, and Sabrina sells mostly birds she raises from her own flock. I really like them, but they're not close enough to me for it to be a regular stop.

We're currently having a moderately ugly thunderstorm at mi casa (East end of Mesa). I'm debating even trying to drive in to work until it lets up a bit.

Globe az is getting hit hard with storms second red cell is on us. I hope you don't get hit hard with the weather tonight. Congrat on the new chicks, be safe
It closed down I-70 between here and Bylas. Water flowing across the highway, the Highway Patrol was there keeping people from crossing. We just got a bad wind storm and some sprinkles here in Fort Thomas, skirted right around us.

@BlueBaby new chickies! Here's to a great hatch!
Weather this am is cloudy and spitting rain, thank goodness we got the canopy up over part of the chicken yard over the weekend. The chickies have more than the coop to go to and I must say my coop is just tooooooo small! Someday I'll fix that too.[/QUOTE]

Thank's! I had 2 Splash Australorp chicks hatch out today already, and I'm waiting on 3 more to hatch out from this group. Then this weekend, Group 3 is due to hatch.

@azurbanclucker - sounds like they did indeed! We put up that new canopy in their area so we disrupted everything. Day before I got only a few eggs, yesterday double that and today should be good again. I'm noticing larger feathers in the yard - a little early for my molt but maybe those girls are loosing some of their feathers that were damaged by the rooster. Today to be over 100 here again. Enjoy the rain break.

Anyone in the west valley like to chicken sit two silkies. They will be around 3 month old. I'm going out of town in September and my hubby has to much with everything else to care for them.

Thanks
