Yes, mine liked staying out in the run during the rain. Today's eggs had to be washed and put in the fridge though, as they were too dirty looking to go into the incubator.

Hey, Btruax, welcome again to the Forum! What kind of setup do you have, and how many flocks? It sounds like you have quite a few.
I love the AZ folks. There are so many issues that are dealt with, whether it be heat tolerant breeds, responsible breeders, coop/run design, predators/pests, feeding whether it be fermented, fodder etc. It seems like they cover about everything here in our Arizona climate. Somebody will always chime in with whatever questions you may have. They have helped me immensely in many ways.
To me, this is the one-stop shopping place for AZ folks raising chickens. I've read through the entire thread and truly enjoyed it. --BB

@DesertChic it's been ages since I have seen @desertmarcy around (at least here in our AZ. thread). Is she ok?
Wasn't she taking a break for awhile because she had too much to take care of?
Welcome. Im fairly new here myself. Everyone here is very nice and patient with all the questions asked. Sorry, I don't know of anyone with those breeds that they are selling.

Punky update:
The hen, punky, who got broody and scared of mr. Roo bubu over the summer was put in her own enclosure to regain weight and mental stability (to refresh or for those that don't know)
After a false start a few weeks ago, I let out punky again just last week and she has finally mentally stabilized and is roaming with her family once again. Before she would run terrified of roo as if was a predator and he would chase her trying to help her bc he didn't understand he was that predator in her mind so she screamed and ran all the more
Now she's back to normal and I don't have to worry about where to put her when it gets hot!

I bought some processed turkeys from her a few months back, and at that time she was fine. I think she performs more of her communication through Facebook now.
She told me her multiple projects were getting overwhelming and she'd LOVE a vacation. I know on FB she was searching for a temporary caretaker for her birds while she took a much-needed break, but I haven't seen anything more from her in a while. Hopefully he's having a great vacation.
