They share with each other quite well.

I'm going to turn the mister off just before the girls go to roost, then turn back on for a bit when I lock up.

One of my girls laid a very tiny egg today, like a little pullet egg. If a hen has not laid in a while, and then starts up again, would the egg possibly be small? I ask because I am almost positive it was the barnevelder, who was broody for a month and hasn't laid for about a month and a half. She was in the nest box and did her egg song today, and I noticed the egg shortly after. Will taking a hiatus from laying cause a tiny egg? Or is it just a random fluke?

Absolutely this can happen. As she lays more eggs they should get larger again.

Super normal their vent is a muscle that closes up more I think it's nature to gently open the hen again

Speaking of which I know pullets can lay strange things, double yolker, tiny eggs, shell-less eggs but I saw mine poop out some sort of membrane it was white, soft and squished like a giant white raisin

I'm thinking she's ok just with the heat it was a messed up egg part and at least she expelled it,,or am i wrong? Anyone see this before?
