Well @nicollee just left here a bit ago, with 3 the NN/Breese cross tan eggs that have been in my incubator (due to hatch on Tuesday) to give to her broody, so the broody won't have to hatch ice packs!

When I picked Five up to change them out she was a bit upset, but soon settled down, she seems really content now. She even let me gently pet her this am, as long as I didn't try to get under her.

How's your broody mama?

Hubby says she "seems" to know there is a difference with the eggs under her.
Now "I" get to worry that I made her nest soft enough not to crush the eggs, and that the humidity will be ok, (It really leaves me in panic mode since I had those shrink wrapped chicks last year)That's why we brought her inside, so the heat would be relatively stable. it's 80-90 inside the house.

ok we did surgery on China's bumblefoot ...

I'm glad you were able to take care of it too bad the wrappings didn't work.
