Speaking of missing feathers, today I noticed Momo is missing her tail feathers. She looks like a little pullet now, and I found her feathers in the coop and one in the run. I would be more concerned, but she's acting fine. Did someone pull them out? Is she beginning to molt? Should I offer more protein? Seems like there's always something to worry about.
My poor Wyandotte had a very deep bumblefoot infection. A lot of stuff came out, and I'm afraid I didn't get it all. She was a trooper, I know it must have hurt while it got it out. It left a deep hole, so I cleaned it out with Veterycin and filled it up with neosporin, and put on another wrap. I'll check it again tomorrow. I hope she feels better. The red star's foot is looking ok, she has a scab from the bumble removal but it's healing slowly.

Ok, I started lock-down today and got the brooder cleaned out so that it will be ready. I picked up a 25# bag of chick starter feed, too! I think I'm about ready now, so I will have time to peek through the windows in the top of the incubator to see them hatch on Tuesday!

Ok, I will be washing this weeks fertile eggs tomorrow evening and refrigerating them, so if anyone else need's some hatching eggs, let me know. I will start my new collection for the week tomorrow.
