Opened the door and felt that cool 74 degrees right now at 10 pm thanks rain!

My dog is barking at the thunder, but no rain here yet! I hope that the electric doesn't go out in the middle of this hatch!

Cool is a relief, even if it's short lived.

We did end up getting some rain, and the electric went out but they got it back on in about 30 minutes. I had put a towel over the incubator to help keep the heat in during that time. All 3 chicks are still alive, but no more eggs have started hatching yet.

Thank you everyone for your warm thoughts. Interesting night. In bed early, early because I wanted the quiet. Read for a short bit. Then fell asleep like a log. That girl was saying thank you!

We got some wind, a little rain and a bit of lightening but nothing too exciting. It seems to have cooled off a little today so that's nice, but I do hope we get some rain here at some point!

It's nearly 2 pm, cloudy and only 95 degrees! If I can believe the forecast it will stay under 100 this whole week!

The chickens aren't hot and much more active, it's nice seeing that again!

I hope it’s cooler when I get to Glendale. My babies haven been out in almost a week. It’s been so hot. I want to take them out and not die in the heat.

There’s a lady on fb who said she lost all 60 of her chickens in the Carr fire. She said she was at work when it went through. Lost her home also. I can’t imagine. So sad.
