I need to know about this Miss Foofy you speak of...the name made me smile I love a chicken with a good name.

No, I'm actually toying with the idea of breeding him back to my other Silver Grey Dorking hens.

I do have one white NN hen. She has just a hint of buff in her bow tie and lays a beautiful pale green egg. Her name is Aria:

I may breed her to my NN/Dorking cockerel, or to this guy, Rocky:

The last time I weighed Rocky he weighed in at a whopping 13 lbs, though I think he's probably lost a couple pounds now that he's in molt and not eating as much. Unfortunately, he's a little too heavy for many of my hens, and he's rather aggressive when he breeds. I de-spurred him after he cut up two girls pretty badly, but that does nothing for the girl who wound up limping when his weight was too much for her, or for the hen he caused a dislocated wing in. I was able to relocate her wing, but I really don't want to risk more injuries like that. Right now he's in isolation while I try to figure out if I should breed him or not, and if so...to whom.

I would think that you would have to have some pretty large hens that would be big enough to handle him.

Miss Foofy is a pure Crested Cream Legbar hen with a great hairdo, and she lay's light blue eggs. She was hatched on Dec. 15th, 2017.

I named her Miss Foofy because of the way that her head feathering looked. Holly, her sister has the head feather's too, but not as much as Miss Foofy's is. Holly is for sale too.

We were going to Fry's and saw some 36" pools at Ace next door. We picked up 2, one for the chickens and one for Frank.

My chickens would freak out scared of a pool lol they seem so set in their ways. I have a blue treat bucket, the other day I brought in a slightly bigger black one and they jumped a mile lol
